Palliative care Unit

The most dazzling project of Parish social Welfare committee is Palliative care unit. The unit has 18 volunteers along with the remarkable presence of two Holy Family Sisters. At present the unit serves 38 bed-ridden sick people. Every week the team visits them, cleaning their bed and spending time with them.

Adiyathira Chikilsa Padhadi

This programme is otherwise known as IMMEDIATE TREATMENT HELP .Under this programme every member of the parish is assured with an immediate financial help during an emergency situation like accidents, operations, etc,. In this programme beneficiaries are limited to the registered members of the Parish. A special help is provided to support persons who are undergoing heart surgery.

House Renovation programmers

In connection with the silver Jubilee of our Parish, we extent our support to the poor families who are unable to complete the construction of their dream home. We provide financial help in completing plastering works and roofing works of the houses.

Kanikka Oushda Padhadi

The programme aimes at providing necessary medicines to poor people of the Parish irrespective of religion. At present there are 25 beneficiaries in this programme. More than 20,000 rupees are spent for this programme every month.

    Adopt a Family

    Under this programme more than 30 poor families, irrespective of religion, are given 1000 Rupees per month. It also includes providing food kits during festivals.

    Mangallya Nidhi

    The women members of the poor families are given sufficient help during the time of their marriage. The amount varies according to the financial situation of the bride and the discretion of the committee.

    Dialysis Treatment

    All those who are affected by various kidney related illness and undergoing Dialysis of the Panamukku Parish area are given the amount of 4 Dialysis every month.

    Cancer Treatment Help

    Parish also helps people who are affected by cancer. More than 10 persons, irrespective of religion at Panamukku, receive the benefits of this programmers.A some of not less than 1000 rupees is given to these poor persons every month.

SUNDAY CATECHISM UNIT OF KANIKKAMATHA CHURCH

Sunday Catechism is a process of systematic Christian faith formation from childhood to adolescence by which a candidate is initiated and strengthened in Catholic faith through various faith-formation programmers. These Faith formation Programmers’ include Sunday Holy Mass, Class room session with the prescribed syllabus of the Church, Retreats ,seminars and prayer sessions.
